Leading a Guild

If you checked out the about me you already sort of know what it is that I do, but in case you haven't here we go.

For the last 4 years I've been co leading a long standing guild with some of my good friends. Leading a guild is not as easy as some may think. Sure you get control of of all the guild assets, you get to make the schedule, the rules, lead the raid, and pretty much everything else under the sun. Its really not all its cracked up to be and the politics involved in keeping everyone happy are even more of a headache than any other part of the responsibility.

After doing this for so long I've learned many things those being..

1. You cant make everyone happy because no matter how hard you try what you do will never please everyone. My advice stop trying to make everyone happy and just make it so thing work out instead.

2. Some people thrive on being the center of attention and no matter what tricks you pull out of your hat your not going to get anywhere with them. Sure you can tell them how they should act and where there place is, but this information is something they could care less about and are going to continue on with their drama llama ways. How you should really handle these people is simply by typing /gkick <insert name>.

3. Opinions should be just that Opinions. Just because someone tells you how to run your guild doesn't mean that you will actually follow whatever it is they have to say. A lot of times they believe if they say it and it will become true and then when it doesn't watch for the shit storm soon to follow. Ex."We should get rid of epgp completely and just /roll everything" Excuse how long have you been leading a guild? Oh you haven't ? Okay then Shut the fuck up, you don't know shit.

There's so much more but for right now I'm running out of steam. I'll be back when the next moron tries to tell me what it is they think I can do better. If you really think it that easy just do it yourself than jackasss I will be more than happy to watch the train wreck that will be your time as GM.
